Was feeling a bit melancholy about age stuff, so I went shopping and got a massage. The masseuse was wonderful, but wow. Right now I feel boneless and have no energy whatsoever. I guess that's a good thing, no? In happier news... my new HD TiVo is here! I'll be SO glad to ditch that awful Comcast DVR and go back to my beloved little recorder. Just have to get Comcast out here to install the cable card thingy, and that won't happen until I have a day off in two weeks. Alas.

Quick tech question: Is it possible to make a video playlist for my iPod? So far, I can only do it with music.

One very general comment as I watch this week's Doctor Who: Pity that this is a kids' show, because Donna is totally the type who would shoot Ten a withering glare then bellow, "What the FUCK are you on about?!?"

-- And finally, I love the new BSG videoblog, One More Photo Op. Rather odd to see them moving in that S4 cast photo, though at least we now know none of the cast members were photoshopped into the pic -- and that Katee and Tricia were NOT drunk. Nope, not at all. ;)

Somewhere in the queue to get out of Hell, a few weeks before the gate is due to open...

so recently Katee Sackhoff, Tricia Helfer, and Grace Park did a photo shoot for Interview. it was a biker girl themed shot so yes, that means bikinis, chaps, and bikes. looked awesome. very hot. so i dropped my $3.50 and bought it. some of the photos were posted in a few communities and of course got good reviews because they looked gorgeous and incredibly sexy.

of course, though, there were the to-be-expected rants against the pictures. you know, "degrating", blah blah blah "lowering themselves" blah blah blah, "objectifying women" etc etc etc.

here's what i'm going to say on that.

considering that most of the time we see pictures of them they aren't overly sexual, with the obvious exception of Tricia's Playboy spread and the very hot "Katee in a sheet" photos from awhile back, what's the big deal? really most of the pics i've ever seen of them they've been dressed normally. so i don't think there's anything wrong with them sexing up a photoshoot. they looked great and it's not like the pics were slutty poses or anything.

and it's been my experience that the women who sit there and object to these shoots and scream about degredation and objectifying of women are usually women who can't wear stuff like what the ladies are wearing in this shoot. take that however you want.

if it's done in fun, who cares. and quite frankly i say if ya got it girls, there's nothing wrong with flaunting it.

course i guess that makes me a sexist pig. whatever.

I'll admit, there have been some rather crazy theories regarding the Last Supper photo, however I believe something is happening that anyone with eyes cannot deny.

If you head over to scifi.com/battlestar, they use the photo as their header for the BSG page. The chalice of whatever Roslin had priorly been burning? It's gone. I can testify that it was there only several days ago. This leads me to believe that they will be adding and subtracting things to and from the picture as the series moves forward.

( So what did Roslin burn? Further speculation. )
