Yesterday I missed the shoot for Amy Adams' 'Julia and Julia'. No one really did work and sheesh, I could have met her.

Today a co-worker ends up with the script and background info(I don't know the proper term) on this other movie they plan on filming soon. The movie is supposed to be called 'New York, I Love You' or something. Like 'Je t'aime Paris'. Everyone was gushing about Natalie Portman possibly being there. It seems maybe we might get Christina Ricci.

But guess who was on the sheet listed as "attached" to one of the films? Grace Park. I dunno if we get any of her scenes filmed at work but hopefully we do. I would love to meet her.

I must say the Viper Pilots uniforms are actually good looking. I've seen them before but in action, they're totally wearable.

What I do love the most is the diversity.

EDIT: And I love that the Colonial Anthem is based off of the original series' theme.

That label has certain definitions that I wouldn't be able to understand the way feminists would want me to. With that in mind, it always irritates me when I see a photo of a woman sans a body part. Something's just wrong about it. What I mean is, if there's a woman with her eyes blocked out or her mouth covered or limbs missing for "artistic reasons" I get annoyed. It's blatant sexism. Hardly is there male "art" with the same thing from what I've seen.

I'm not about censure. I'm saying it bugs me. That is all.

This links into my feelings on women in the BSG series because, I do think it is a bit of joke at times. Traditional roles shine through the female empowerment. But I'm not about to get into that discussion.

What the hell am I thinking allowing some stranger borrow my DVDs? (the truth to be outlined on [info]avocetave probably tonight) Am I shitting me? I am deathly afraid of my babies coming back all scratched and bruised and hurt.

Yes, I am talking about inanimate objects. They also happen to be Season One and the Miniseries for BSG. Now, you know my plight. Since I am compelled to be so helpful, I am stuck. Pray for my chil'ren.

I missed my Leoben icon so I'm using it. It doesn't have any significance as to the season finale.

For me, it was mostly an episode of yawn until the anti-climatic meeting of the final Cylons. Yeah, I didn't see that coming. 

Returns in 2008? Oh boy, the anticipation is killing me. Really, I don't find anything to look forward to now. There was something missing and I can't put my finger on it. If I were grading the show I'd give it a C-. That is all.

Yes, I saw BSG last night. And I don't know why. Loyalty? My show is waning in its usefulness to me. An epi without Anders? The bonus scene made me happy though. My OTP onscreen and Gaeta with his curls.

I think I fall in love more and more with these two the more I see them. You know, besides as Gaeta and Dee. Another episode of Jeremiah last night was a bit Kurdy/Elizabeth-centric (Kandyse plays Elizabeth). I really hoped it wouldn't come to that, because Kurdy is rough and unpolished--a highly unlikely mate for her. But it happened, and in the most cheesiest, cliche way. It worked though.

There are now three Kandyses(or Kandyass which you can thank [info]ingrid_m for): the delicate, young yet strong-willed one; the ohmigawd biggest bitch best friend one and the one that's a shell of a person right now on BSG. She's very versatile in her acting, which is good. I think I first saw her on  The Outer Limits and then on that remake of Carrie as Sue Snell. Tiffany still calls her SueSnell in one word whenever I can get her to watch BSG. Sue Snell was a bitch indeed, even if she redeemed herself at the end. Bah.

Aww, Kandyse. Why you so pretty?
